Technical Aspects

How do I scan my photos for restoration?

You should use a flatbed scanner and set the resolution to at least 600dpi for smaller photos. Save the scans in a lossless format such as TIFF or PNG. If you only have a JPG version, that can also work, but keep in mind that this format may not contain as much detail.

I don’t have a scanner. Can I take a photo of my photo instead?

We highly recommend scanning for best results. However, if you don’t have a scanner, you can take a photo of your photo. Be sure to do it in natural light without flash to avoid glare. Alternatively you can send the photograph to us and we can scan the photo and send it back for a nominal charge.

Q: What format should I use to send my photos?

A: We accept photos in all popular formats (JPEG, PNG, TIFF, etc.). However, for best results, please send us high-resolution scans of your photographs.

Q: In what format will I receive my restored photos?

A: You will receive the restored photographs in a high-resolution JPEG format. We can provide other formats (PNG, TIFF, etc.) upon request.

Q: Can I get physical prints of my restored photographs?

A: Yes, we offer printing services for an additional fee. Prints can be mailed to your preferred address.
